What for? Our charter answers this in 7 points:
1. Taking action
Think, procrastinate, plan, imagine, consult, exchange, blah blah, and, Finally… write a report that no one will ever read. Here we say stop to bullshit jobs and welcome with open arms the actors of the modern world. Dear entrepreneurs, creators, innovators, artists, beautiful friendly speakers, dreamers in search of meaning, lovers of a better world, you who see your dreams big and take the risk of living your life, you are welcome to join the network Lfa.
2. Give up operations
A model far removed from excessive hierarchical systems. These hide well the objective of the shareholder, very disconnected from the reality of the employee, exploited for a profit. We must agree, we live in a capitalist society, so let us be more capitalist than capitalists, just leave the wage-earning and become a shareholder ourselves. But not just any, capitalists with Values! There are some. Hence the cooperative model. Everyone has the freedom to define his values, but unless we demonstrate that the exploitation of man by man is one and that it would contribute to the common good, let us leave it aside. In short, those who do not want to be exploited will understand that others will not. This will avoid being locked in one’s own trap, exploiting one day, exploited another.
3. Keeping in touch
Entrepreneurs are usually ambitious people, wishing to make their projects great successes, big companies, have influence. It requires staying connected to the world so you don’t end up on the edge of reality and miss out on something. The garage is good but it should not last forever. Some regret having been out of the system for too long and wish to reintegrate a large company, this is a good way to keep a foothold: to value the contribution within startups through the board. The LFA network goes far beyond entrepreneurship.
4. Never do it alone
An entrepreneurship project launched alone is a challenge, with great loneliness. We get away with it at first but very quickly, we realize that we can not do everything alone, there is the administrative, and then the site, the apps, the commercial, marketing, business plan, financing, investor relations, etc. A lot of things happen very quickly.
One idea is to look for a co-founder. Another is to find someone who gives a one-off help. Both work, and there are many other ways. At LFA, we have them at our fingertips, with the added bonus of organizing a large network, without the stifling hierarchy of the company.
5. Belonging to a team
The members all have a share of the fund that hosts them. The aim is for all entrepreneurs to contribute to the overall development of the fund’s projects. No project competes with another.
Your team is the one that accompanies you from the beginning of your experience. A team gathers once a week. Each team member is given speaking time. During the weekly meeting, all members have the freedom to express their voices without being cut off. The debate is possible after these sessions, informally. The criticism is respectful of everyone, the differences of views are always appreciated.
6. Continuous training
In startup, we are often led to work on simplistic tasks, repetitive, and a little dangerous for our good habits (although in large structures this also exists). And now we forget the importance of training. The organization of the LFA network places the employees directly in a structure that allows regular exchanges with people who are both involved and other people who are far from the project (in weekly meetings). In addition, training time is reserved and advised. Cross-training is particularly developed and encouraged: knowledge is found within our teams. To keep them, you have to talk about them, discuss them, share them. Knowledge is created, it is the basis of networking.
7. Expanding the network
Those who wish to participate in one of the most ambitious projects, you have knocked on the right door. LFA is in continuous collaborative development by its members. The world’s largest network of entrepreneurs is devoid of hierarchy. This means that it must be well organized and well structured. That’s why each of its members contributes to its improvement. It is a one-of-a-kind project, which is matched only by itself.
